Duke Realty Corp (DRE)
We have been watching Duke for a while now as it is one of the more attractive diversified REIT's on the market. Like most real estate plays Duke has taken a hit over the last year and has reached its relative bottom. Currently trading at a P/E ratio of 24.08 it is relatively cheap compared to its competition, yet runs a superior business and better earnings compared to the rest of the industry. As a long term play DRE also yields an approximately 8% dividend, which adds stability in the current market.
Over the short run we are looking to add to our position in DRE as the stock is preparing to break out of descending triangle that has been forming over the last four months. In the coming week we are setting a buy price at $24.50 a share, at which a break out is expected. Analytics point to an approximate $2-$3 bump.
Bank of America Corp (BAC)
Bank of America, along with most of the financial sector, has strung along 2 solid weeks of gains due to better than expected news and earnings, lower oil prices, and progressive legislation. Short term we're bearish on BAC as investors will be taking profits from the 75% gain in recent weeks. Look for the stock to level off around $25 a share forming a new relative low, and making for another good buying opportunity, not to mention a yield of over 10%..
Long term BAC is a great play. A combination of liquidity with over $300 billion in cash and short term investments dispels any fears that loom over the rest of the sector. Stock price appreciation in tandem with a high, secure dividend makes its best in breed over the long haul.
